The Mebane Train Display

Donated By Mr. Tommy Long

The Mebane Train Layout is proud to be hosting its fifth annual train show and sale on March 11th, 2017.  This is an event that is held in the adjoining gymnasium where everyone can buy, sell, or just browse a room full of trains.  There will be 60+ vendors at this show who will have a variety of trains, parts, scenery, and even mobile train layouts.  Admission is $5 for adults and children under twelve get in free with a paid adult.  This is a wonderful way to support the Mebane Train Display because all of the proceeds go to the upkeep of the permanent display of the Tommy Long train collection.  For vendors, the application form for tables is attached below for print out.  We hope to see everyone at this years TRAIN SHOW!

Schedule

The train display is open on the second Saturday of every month.

Fifth Annual Train Show and Sale

The Mebane Train Layout was designed and built to display a collection of trains left to the city of Mebane by Mr. Tommy Long.  Mr. Long had one of the biggest collections in the Alamance County area, worth over 250,000 dollars.   The Train Group has been working on this for over two years now.  They have done everything from building massive display tables, to detailed landscape modeling.  They will all tell you, "We have come far, but still have far to go."
